Baton Rouge Arrival
I just arrived in Baton Rouge after 24 hours of hellish traveling. I got into my parents house last night around Midnight, and after having some dinner and packing my stuff, I finally went to bed around 1:00am. As if that weren't bad enough because I had been up at 6 yesterday, but in order to get to the airport to catch my 9:00am flight I had to be up at 4:30...needless to say, I am a little tired.
Its going to be good to see Brad, shoot the shit and just hang out for a few days. We are eventually going to make it down to Mardi Gras, but I think we are going to hang out in Baton Rouge for the first two days or so.
I am currently in the air over Louisiana and its just amazing how much infrastructure there is for oil production, and what's more amazing is how many of the huge tanks are open and empty, just rusting away. I was just reading an Article in Wired about how they are starting to use the old dried up off-shore oil wells as base stations for wind turbines. Apparently, there are thousands of them, and they serve no use, so its a win-win situation.
Anyway, we just landed, so I have to get off the plane now.
