Natalie Portman comes to my class
So Monday was progressing as Mondays often do. I wrote that last post right before my terrorism class. I went there not expecting a whole lot. I sat through a rather interesting movie about this Al-Queda dude and how he turned on his family and Al-Queda and helped the FBI and CIA out and then when he wanted to stop (he had been going under cover for like 2-3 years) the US just dumped him, didn't pay him or anything. Scum bags. Anyway...
So the professor stops the film with like 40 minutes left in the class. I was kind of upset because I was getting really into it at the time. But anyway, he tells us that he's got a guest from Israel who has a good bit of information about terrorism and in walks the entire MTV film crew with Natalie Portman. It was interesting. She was tiny like a small elf. Cute, but totally made up for the TV cameras and such. So she answered questions about the V is for Vendetta movie that I went and saw last weekend. It was cool to go from seeing her on the screen to having her standing like 10 feet in front of us answering questions.
I got my freaking 18 page prospectus back and I have to re-write the thing. Well, it's more of a re-organization of it. Granded 8 of the 12 people in the class have to, but it's still a pain. It's not what I wanted to be doing over my spring break. Speaking of which, the break starts on Friday. I totally forgot to tell my boss that I wasn't going to be here on Friday. I gotta make a point to do that.
I have Terrorism again in 20 minutes, so I should get going and get to class. The freaking class is on the 7th floor, and they are big flights, so it takes awhile and the elevator holds a massive 6 people, so getting in that is like packing into a sardine can.
