Freaking Blizzard

snow.JPG

I can't believe the ammount of snow that has fallen here in the past 24 hours. With the snow drifts, there is about 2-3 feet of snow in my backyard. I'm glad that I don't really have to get to my grill. The picture is standing on my stoop looking out onto Devoe. It's now 3:00, 24 hours since the snow started and it's STILL snowing.

Not three weeks ago, I was outside eating my lunch, basking in the sun thinking to myself that the whole "Global Warming Thing" wasn't that bad. But as we all knew, karma is a bitch and it has a sense of humor. Hence the Blizzard.

Laura and I went out this morning to Garden Grill. I don't know why we go there. It's just your typical diner food. It's not bad, it's really not worth the hype that all the terrible hipsters around here give it. Oh well, it's close and has chocolate chip pancakes, so what more could you want.

Another neighborhood favorite is the Loco Burrito. One night when Laura and I came home late from being out, I couldn't think of what the fabulous burrito place was called so I massacared the name and called it "Crazy Nacho" and since then, it's been called Crazy Nacho. Laura actually just ordered some, so I'm going to go and have some guac and watch the Olympics. Maybe there will be some action packed Curling on. THAT would be amazing.
