Labor Day...but what Labor?
It's Friday. The last friday that I will be at my current job. Doesn't really bother me all that much to be honest with you. I've had more upsetting life things to deal with in the past, so this one on a scale of 1-10 is about a 3...maybe a 4 if you count how much I'll miss the view from my office window. Which...by the way, isn't even close to how good it was when I had my old office. Anyway... I digress.
I have to admit that I was pretty excited because there was supposed to be this big inter-office party where everyone just had some drinks and afternoon was just going to be fun. But no. They moved it to next week while I'm away. That sucks. I'm not pleased about that. Oh well. What are you going to do. I brought some homebrew with me to work today, so I'll just drink that at lunch time. I think the Office Manager said that she was going to buy lunch, so we'll see.
It isn't a surprise that I still don't know about the US Open, because well.. I doubt that it'll even happen. Even though I was REALLY hoping that I would get that because that would have allowed me to you know...not take loans out for housing and stuff like that. It goes back to the old adage that "if it sounds too good to be true...then it probably is" so anyway.. back to the waiting game on that one.
So recently Laura and I have been reading the Harry Potter books. I'm on the 6th one and she's on the 5th. It's going well. I read it way too much though, especially since I've had so much free time recently.
I was thinking that I may eventually give up this URL that I have. The whole "Michaellastname.com thing is just a little off. I think I'd rather it be something like sevensparadise.com or even just anything that doesn't have my name in it. Not that I REALLY care, but I'd rather it be alittle more discete. We'll see. The renewal comes around this November, so maybe at that point I'll switch it over to a smaller plan and buy a new domain name. We'll see as that comes around.
So Laura and I are trying to figure out what we're going to be doing for labor day weekend. It's still really up in the air, so I have no idea. We talked about going on a river cruise, but we'll see. Maybe we'll just find a cheap flight to Baton Rouge and go visit Brad. Although, with my whopping payments to Columbia coming up, I don't really see that as something that's going to happen.
Anyway, I am going to clear out my computer some more and call it a day.
